I love to read tattoo stories so I’m going to share mine. Incase you didn’t know, this is the Hogwart’s crest. I have an entire two leg piece planned, but I’ll keep it a secret until it’s finished. But why a Harry Potter tattoo? I started reading Harry Potter when I was a kid. (I did see the 1st movie first). As I got older, and kept reading not only did I become infatuated with the series, but I realized I was learning lessons from the books. Yes, there are a million posts on all the lessons H.P. teaches but I learned those lessons too and I live by some of them. Like standing up for yourself and what you believe in, even against your friends, like Neville did. That’s my favorite lesson. But the stories also helped cope with death of friends and loved ones. When I’m upset I go put in one of the movies (usually Prisoner of Azkaban) or I’ll sit and read the book. Children and teens and adults can escape terrible realities in wonderful fantasies, and I just happened to choose Harry Potter. And so that’s why I want it tattooed on my body. When I get my second piece I’ll explain the whole meaning behind the two together <3

Animal fun fact: Chinchillas can’t get wet. Their fur retains too much water and will start to grow mold. So they bathe by rolling around in dust.

Chinchilla fun fact: Chinchillas have around 20 hairs per follicle; unlike humans who have 2-3 hairs per follicle. Because their fur is so dense, they cannot get fleas or other parasites. The bugs will suffocate in their fur.
